a pulpit, a wooden frame to hold the fir candles, Irish crannóg, a hamper or basket, Middle Irish crannoc, a wooden vessel, a wooden structure, especially the "crannogs" in Irish lakes. From crann; the word means many kinds of wooden structures in Gadelic lands.
